The Bathers, a long time favourite on the Scottish music scene, chose Paul to lay down keyboards on their album, 'Pandemonia'. The Bathers took to the road, inviting Paul to play keyboard for the duration of the tour to promote the album.

Chris Thompson's distinct, gravely vocals and wry lyrics - reminiscent of The Tindersticks - has a loyal following and regularly sees The Bathers being invited to play events such as Scotland's major music festival, T in the Park. Paul worked on further projects with The Bathers, including adding new arrangements to some of their earlier tracks, for a 'Best Of' album.
