Astrid, an upbeat indie pop band of island boys, were introduced to Paul through their producer, Tony Doogan (Belle and Sebastian, Mogwai, Super Furry Animals). Paul contributed string arrangements to their album Play Dead, as well as playing piano and hammond on a number of tracks. At the end of it all, Paul hit the road for a couple of weeks with the band - part of indie supergroup, The Reindeer Section - to promote the album. Charlie Clarke and Neil Payne are currently working on solo projects.
